Ingredients for 8 servings:
1. 1 cup cornmeal
2. 1 cup flour
3. 3/4 cup sugar
4. 1 tablespoon baking powder
5. 2/3 cup milk
6. 1/4 cup vegetable oil
7. 1 egg
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
3. You can use a full cup of sugar if you like sweeter cornbread.
4. Pour batter into a greased pan (9in. round).
5. Let for approximately 35-40 min or until golden.
6. Insert toothpick in the center to check (toothpick will be clean).
7. Let stand for 5 minute.
