• 2 c Flour (unbleached)
  • 1/4 c Sugar
  • 1 tb Salt
  • 2 pk Dry yeast
  • 1 c Water
  • 1 c Milk
  • 1/2 c Oil
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 1/2 c Additional flour

Combine 2 cups of flour with sugar and salt. In saucepan over low
heat, heat water, milk and oil until warm. Add this and egg to flour
mixture. Blend at lowest speed until moistened; beat for 3 minutes at
medium speed. By HAND, stir in remaining flour to form a stiff
batter. Cover dough; let rise in warm place until ight and doubled
(about 50 minutes). Stir down dough; spoon dough into greased pan.
Bake for 45 minutes at 375 degrees. Remove and brush with butter.
Let cool.
